About The Position
The Comforted Canine is hiring independent dog sitters and walkers for in-home visits and dog walks. You set your availability and service area—we match you with clients. Services include walks, drop-ins, extended daytime visits, overnights, and 24-hour live-in care.
Requirements
- 18+ with hands-on dog care experience
- Smartphone with reliable internet + camera
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Experienced with dog care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Confidently handle dogs from small to large
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Availability (especially holidays/travel periods)
Nice To Haves
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday availability
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home dog care (walks, drop-ins, overnights, or live-in house sitting — based on your availability)
- Follow detailed care instructions (feeding, water, potty breaks, meds as needed)
- Walk dogs safely with professional leash handling and situational awareness
- Send updates with notes + photos after each visit
- Maintain cleanliness and respect client homes
