About The Position
The Comforted Canine is hiring independent dog sitters and walkers for in-home visits and dog walks. You set your availability and service area, and we match you with clients. This role involves providing in-home dog care, including walks, drop-ins, overnights, or live-in house sitting, based on your availability. You will follow detailed care instructions, walk dogs safely, send updates with notes and photos after each visit, and maintain cleanliness in client homes.
Requirements
- 18+ with hands-on dog care experience
- Smartphone with reliable internet + camera
- Ability to provide references
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Experienced with dog care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Confidently handle dogs from small to large
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Availability (especially holidays/travel periods)
Nice To Haves
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday availability
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home dog care (walks, drop-ins, overnights, or live-in house sitting — based on your availability)
