About The Position
Morris Animal Inn's Morristown Grooming Salon is seeking a full-time Dog Groomer. This position offers a guaranteed hourly pay starting at $22/hr., a consistent full-time schedule, full benefits, and a supportive team environment. Unlike commission-based roles, you will be paid for your scheduled hours even during client cancellations. Dedicated bathers will handle the preparation, allowing you to focus on styling. The salon is open Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM and Saturday-Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM, ensuring you are always done by 7 PM. The company provides and maintains all grooming tools and equipment, eliminating equipment costs for the groomer. A sales team handles appointment booking and client acquisition, removing the pressure to build a client list or chase bookings. Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional, high volume dog grooming experience
- Knowledge of breed standards and techniques
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Stand for extended periods and do repetitive hand and arm motions with grooming tools
- Lift and restrain dogs up to 40 lbs on your own, with help for larger dogs
- Work in a noisy environment around dog and cat dander, waste, and cleaning chemicals
- Communicate clearly with clients and teammates
- Full-time employment status (35–40 hours/week), with shifts scheduled within salon hours
- At least one weekend day per week and some holidays required

- Grooming school certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide breed-specific and client-requested haircuts and styling
- Perform brushing, bathing, and conditioning as needed
- Keep every pet safe and comfortable during grooming
- Maintain a clean, sanitary grooming area
- Advise clients on maintenance grooming and coat care
- Recommend services that benefit each pet's coat, skin, and overall health
