About The Position

This summer research project will provide hands-on experience in enzyme and protein characterization. The student will work with engineered enzyme variants generated through high-throughput, in vitro Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) cycles targeting hydrolases. Responsibilities will include protein purification, performing colorimetric and fluorometric activity assays, and documenting experimental results for AI-guided design feedback. Where feasible, purified targets may be prepared for downstream structural studies. Through this work, the student will gain experience in high-throughput assays, protein biochemistry, and synthetic biology workflows.
