The Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) is launching its newseries EcoCAR Innovation Challenge (EIC) in Fall 2026, with an extensive focuson AI-based tools. The internship will focus on validating sponsoredcomponents for EIC in AI and V2X technologies. The intern will have thefollowing responsibilities: Work with our sponsors to develop training content for AVTC teams onsponsored AI tools Design and test AI agents that could benefit various sub teams within theAVTC program Develop workflows for using Argonne's computing resources to be used byAVTC teams Develop small scale AI models for demonstration to participating universities Assess new V2X technology deployment on scale by working with sponsorpartners Develop V2X deployment workflows for Uu cellular communication Design content for non-technical use cases of generative AI like projectmanagement , marketing etc. The intern should have basic understanding V2X technology and opensource AI models, with hands on experience with generative AI and codingexperience in python, especially for AI/ML tools boxes. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Applicants must be: ‒ Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. ‒ Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or ‒ Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application. If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test
