About The Position

This project will analyze affordability of fueling passenger vehicles in the United States, considering historical variations in technology along with where these vehicles are deployed, from initial sale throughout their usable lifetime. Current work is used by federal agencies to estimate vehicle total cost of ownership (TCO)and estimate fuel costs for the American people. This project will utilize existing large datasets of vehicle ownership, fuel prices, demographic behavior to estimate how fuel costs have changed over time, due to the introduction of new fuel saving technologies and variations in fuel prices.
