The Energy and Environment Directorate at PNNL delivers science and technology solutions for the nation’s biggest energy and environmental challenges. The Nuclear Sciences Division, part of this directorate, focuses on environmental management of nuclear sites, nuclear regulatory processes, national nuclear security, and advancing nuclear energy. This fellowship is part of the Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP), funded by the Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM), which is working to clean up legacy radioactive waste. The research aligns with DOE-EM’s mission to safely immobilize and clean up environmental legacy waste, with a focus on the Hanford Site.
