About The Position

HGL manages a diverse portfolio of environmental investigation and remediation projects that roll up through client-focused programs. These programs are the focal point that sustain our business and achieve high client satisfaction. Our work with the Department of Energy (DOE) is one of our fastest growing programs with projects ongoing at Oak Ridge, Pantex, Nevada National Security Site and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. HGL also holds a nationwide small business set-aside Deactivation, Decommissioning and Removal (DD&R) contract. To expand our growth with DOE, HGL seeks a dedicated, full-time manager to lead our DOE program nationwide. This program manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to develop new opportunities throughout the DOE complex, leveraging ongoing work, maximizing the DD&R contract and positioning for new contract opportunities. This role will develop marketing strategies and represent HGL at key events, utilizing an established network of client and partner contacts to further HGL’s brand. The client program manager, working with other senior leaders, will also be responsible for leading and managing the company’s DOE contracts and ensuring all projects are executed in alignment with client expectations, contractual requirements, and company objectives. This role oversees project teams, provides strategic leadership, supports business development efforts within the DOE portfolio, and serves as a primary point of contact for client engagement. This position plays a critical role in mentoring and developing project managers to ensure consistent, successful project delivery, and may also serve as project manager on select projects as needed. Ideally the successful candidate will be based in Knoxville, TN; however, candidates with the appropriate skills and experience at other locations with active DOE environmental management operations will also be considered.
