The Documentation Specialist I processes documents through the Documentation System, adds/reviews document properties, and approves documents and properties within the system for distribution. This role circulates change management packages for review and approval, monitors approver responses, and ensures necessary approvals are obtained. The specialist completes work according to established priorities, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure documentation is sent according to schedule. Key responsibilities include verifying the impact of procedural changes on operational systems such as SAP, LIMS, MES/POMS, and Delta V, ensuring synchronization of changes across operational and documentation systems, and coordinating changes between shared documents from Worcester, ABL, and Singapore plants. The role also involves training employees on system techniques, receiving, evaluating, and assigning effective dates for documents, communicating the status of procedures and CR's to initiators, and negotiating implementation periods. Additionally, the specialist performs proofreading of documents, verifies and receives documents, notifies affected areas and the Training department of changes, executes changes in SAP and DSP operational systems, and troubleshoots conflicts within the Documentation or operational systems. This position also prepares/reviews manual PCRs for SVP and BDS areas, manages the retention room, and coordinates document transfers to Iron Mountain. The role provides assistance to operations in accordance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) management systems and promotes continuous improvement.
