About The Position

The Documentation Lead is a member of the Enterprise Applications Team and will be responsible for building, scaling and leading our documentation efforts. This role will own documentation end to end including strategy, tooling, and execution and will set the standard for clarity, correctness and scalability. Documentation ownership spans APIs, SDKs, installation, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting across all hardware and software portfolios. This role will be expected to use AI thoughtfully and safely to improve clarity, coverage, and speed while preserving accuracy.

Requirements

  • 1 year of college or technical school AND 6 years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience as a Documentation Lead with experience building documentation capability from the ground up.
  • Experience using AI in documentation processes to improve clarity, coverage, and speed while preserving accuracy.
  • Experience developing technical diagrams, graphics, roadmaps, etc.
  • Ability to understand and distill complex technical concepts into digestible materials/products
  • Ability to document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
  • Technical depth to partner with and earn the trust of managers, senior engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the end-to-end documentation strategy, including software documentation, developer guides, cookbooks, SOPs, and end user documentation.
  • Build and lead the documentation function by defining standards, modernizing tooling, and introducing measurable metrics to prioritize impact.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Product to deliver accurate, release-aligned documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into accessible written and visual materials, including diagrams, workflows, and technical roadmaps.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with organization goals, client expectations, and applicable security requirements.
  • Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization. Always wears a hard hat and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field.
  • Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record.
  • Ensures client satisfaction, both internally and externally, through positive, pleasant, professional and efficient handling of issues.
  • Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
