Our mission is to locate unknown heirs and reunite them with their rightful inheritances in the U.S., Germany, and beyond. The Role: Document Specialist As a Document Specialist, you will be a key player in preparing and managing legal documentation related to kinship and probate proceedings. You’ll collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and researchers to ensure every case meets legal requirements and progresses smoothly through the estate administration process.

Requirements

  • Experience as a paralegal or legal secretary
  • Solid understanding of legal document preparation and probate law
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Comfort working with legal databases and e-filing systems
  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Kinship Case Preparation
  • Interpret intestacy and probate statutes across multiple U.S. states
  • Draft legal documents and adjust genealogical family trees for court filings
  • Identify information gaps and coordinate with researchers to resolve them
  • Serve as the main contact for the company’s external kinship attorneys
  • Relationship Documentation
  • Order birth, marriage, and death certificates from relevant agencies
  • Clarify complex succession lines involving deceased heirs
  • Client Interaction
  • Provide updates to clients on the status of legal proceedings
  • Collect, organize, and manage client-provided documents and authorizations
  • File and Record Management
  • Maintain accurate records in our internal database
  • Prepare case files for attorney review
  • Upload and transmit documentation securely through internal systems
