About The Position

This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to live within a commutable distance to the office in Miami, FL for in-office responsibilities. The position is responsible for reviewing, executing, and auditing foreclosure documents for accuracy according to internal policies and procedures, as well as external guidelines. The role requires a solid knowledge of required job skills, company policies, and procedures, with a proven ability to apply this knowledge to a variety of work assignments. A strong understanding of mortgage industry practices, procedures, and processes is essential, along with the ability to meet department deadlines. The associate will establish effective professional rapport with both internal and external customers and effectively manage time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One year customer service experience required.
  • Operates effectively under general supervision on routine assignments; receives instructions on new assignments.
  • Semi-routine work assignments that sometimes vary outside of established routine.
  • Takes ownership of problems and determines a solution.
  • Decisions and actions have impact on success of team or department.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive impact on customer experience.
  • Proficient in verbal and written form as appropriate for varying audiences.
  • Ability to prepare clear written correspondence.
  • Demonstrate intermediate computer and software skills necessary for job function.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college and/or Mortgage/Financial services experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Foreclosure Documents highly preferred.
  • Notary a plus.
  • Exposure to mortgage-specific software.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze affidavits and other documents that require execution as part of a foreclosure process to ensure policies and procedures are in place to properly execute documents.
  • Handle various inquiries related to the execution of documents in the foreclosure process and coordinate resolution with all necessary parties.
  • Ensure accounts are properly documented with actions taken, correspondence, and explanation of rejections, if any in LSAMS and LPS.
  • Document loans not able to be executed in LSAMS and LPS and refer the loan to the appropriate firm for correction.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and investor requirements and guidelines.
  • Manage pipeline, including completing all document assignments within the allotted timeframe.
  • Follow up with other departments and/or local counsel for outstanding items.
  • Properly code and document all processes worked to ensure proper tracking of documents.
  • May require appearances to depositions or non-jury trials.
  • May involve possible travel to various locations within the United States.
  • Review and provide HAMP certifications prior to foreclosure sale.
  • Review all documents for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy per company and federal compliance standards.
  • Maintain attorney communication via phone, email, and LPS.
  • Receive foreclosure documents via LPS.
  • Print, review, and execute foreclosure documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
