About The Position

This Document Control Specialist position is an entry-level role within the Sanitation department at the Casa Grande, Arizona Nutrition Plant. The specialist will provide support and oversight for day-to-day responsibilities, troubleshooting, root cause/corrective action investigations, and process improvements. The role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely product release.

• Previous manufacturing sanitation experience is a plus but no required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with safety standards, GMP requirements, and sanitation procedures, including oversight of third-party vendors
• Lead and prioritize daily and weekly sanitation activities to maintain high housekeeping standards across designated plant areas
• Monitor cleanliness of all assigned areas and verify GMP readiness through routine inspections of cleaning routes
• Provide coaching and feedback to sanitation team members; support training and onboarding as needed
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure sanitation activities support uninterrupted plant operations
• Manage sanitation-related inventory, including cleaning and gowning supplies; place orders and resolve supply or service issues with vendors
• Submit, track, and monitor work orders, preventive maintenance (PMs), and repair requests
• Troubleshoot sanitation equipment issues and partner with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution
• Meet regularly with vendors to review performance, address concerns, and ensure service quality
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding team performance, operational challenges, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by management
• Accountable for meeting compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
