About The Position

Rehab Advantage & Sports Medicine is seeking a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to provide services within Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) facilities in the Atlanta area. This role follows a flexible 2-day per week schedule, giving you excellent autonomy and consistency. Rehab Advantage & Sports Medicine has proudly partnered with the State of Georgia and CoreCivic in Georgia since 2008, delivering rehabilitation services across more than 40 correctional facilities statewide. Our multidisciplinary model includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology, all focused on improving patient outcomes while enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Our therapists work collaboratively alongside physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants as part of an integrated healthcare team within each facility. This team-based approach ensures patients receive coordinated, comprehensive care, with rehabilitation playing a vital role in recovery, function, and overall health. We utilize an on-site care model, allowing clinicians to treat patients directly within each facility. This significantly reduces the need for off-site transportation, lowers overall costs, improves continuity of care, and enhances safety for both staff and the surrounding communities. Our clinical philosophy emphasizes conservative, evidence-based care aimed at reducing unnecessary surgeries, medications, and injections. We focus on restoring function, relieving pain, and improving quality of life through both non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation. As we continue to grow, we have expanded our services across multiple states. We currently provide services with CoreCivic and GDC in Georgia, operate in four facilities in Arizona, one in California, three in Tennessee, one in Mississippi, and two in Ohio. In addition, we are actively onboarding new facilities nationwide. Within our program, services and opportunities include: On-site, hands-on patient care within correctional facilities, Tele-rehabilitation evaluations and re-evaluations, Supervision and collaboration with PTAs and OTAs, A team-based, mission-driven environment focused on improving access to care.
