About The Position

The Cardiology MD plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive inpatient medical care within a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality treatment and patient safety. This position involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the cardiovasular system, including the heart, arteries, and veins. The Cardiologist manages conditions by prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and performing minimally invasive procedures. The Physician manages a diverse patient population with acute and chronic conditions, coordinating care plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes. This role demands strong clinical judgment, effective communication with patients and families, and adherence to evidence-based practices and hospital protocols. Ultimately, the Physician contributes significantly to improving patient satisfaction, reducing hospital stay lengths, and enhancing overall healthcare delivery within the institution.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular disease.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with hospital quality metrics and patient safety protocols.
• Strong background in evidence-based medicine and clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
• Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
