About The Position

As a Dockworker, you will play a vital role in staging, loading/unloading, and securing freight.

Requirements

• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to read and understand orders and follow safety protocols.
• The work can be physically demanding, so physical endurance and strength are important.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
• Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight from company trailers, with proper placement in designated dock areas.
• Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to move freight safely and efficiently.
• Secure freight for safe transport using load bars, straps, and blocking as required.
• Inspect freight for damage and promptly report any issues to a supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures, wear appropriate protective gear, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate the safe and efficient movement of freight.
