Requirements

The ability to maintain a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Good communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
1-2 years of dock or warehouse experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus)

Responsibilities

Load and unload freight from trailers using manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
Sort and organize freight in the dock area according to destination or shipment priority
Inspect freight for damage, verify labeling and documentation and report any discrepancies
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized and safe dock environment
Ensure proper handling and securement of freight to prevent damage during transit
Communicate with dispatchers, drivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of shipments
Follow all company safety policies and procedures during operations
