About The Position
A. Duie Pyle is seeking a part-time Outbound Dockworker in Buffalo, NY. The role is responsible for safely moving freight on and off trailers and verifying related documentation through electronic and manual systems. The position starts at 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and requires schedule flexibility that may include day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays. The listed pay is $21.75 per hour, increasing to $22.75 after 12 months of employment. Employees are paid weekly by direct deposit. A. Requirements
- Ability to safely operate equipment and follow company and government safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and communicate effectively.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment.
- Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight on trailers using appropriate equipment, including a forklift or electric pallet jack.
- Pick, stage, and secure freight inside trailers to ensure safe transport.
- Use the document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal.
- Communicate with terminal personnel and drivers.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, potentially including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate with a customer-service-first mentality.
- Safely transport freight on and off trailers and verify related documentation using electronic and manual systems.
