About The Position

AmeriGas Propane, the largest distributor of propane in the United States, is searching for an energetic and detail oriented person to join us as a Dock Worker. Requirements

Ability to climb steps/ladders, walk 1-5 miles and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 lbs each
Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck
1 - 2 years’ work experience in manufacturing is preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check
Successful applicants shall be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment, and if hired, shall be subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with AmeriGas policies.
Applicants for such positions who are actively using medical marijuana may be denied hire on that basis.

Responsibilities

Unloading empty propane cylinders from the truck(s)
Carrying them inside the dock area to the refill station, and refilling the cylinders
Moving the filled cylinders back to the dock and reloading them onto the truck(s) for the next day’s delivery
Cylinder repair and maintenance
Providing customer training on dispensing propane
Handling refills for walk-in customers
