We are looking for a part-time Dockhand who will be responsible for the care and maintenance of Helix Water District's boat rental fleet at Lake Jennings. The lake is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays. This position is designed for someone who wants to work part-time only. TYPICAL WORK HOURS: 15-25 hours per week. Shifts range from 4-8 hours. Friday and Saturday are scheduled between the hours of 5 a.m. - 12:30 a.m. Sunday shifts are scheduled between the hours of 5 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and most holidays. The position will not exceed 950 hours per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). We ask that our Dockhands are available Monday through Sunday in the month of July.

Requirements

Valid Class C California driver's license with a good driving record
Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid CPR/AED and first aid certification within 6 months from the date of hire
Good communication skills
Friendliness and courtesy
Diplomacy
Reliable
Self-starter who takes pride in their work and requires minimal supervision
Knowledge of water safety
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to swim
