About The Position

The Docketing & Court Filing Clerk is responsible for entering court documents into the docketing database, handling electronic and in-person court filings, tracking case deadlines and upcoming appearances, and providing guidance on court procedures, as well as general administrative and operational tasks related to litigation support.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure timely completion within deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make sound decisions and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and is self-motivated to produce high quality work.
  • Knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
  • Experience handling a large volume of PDFs and converting them into court-compliant filing formats.
  • Flexible and adaptable to accommodate time-sensitive tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1 year of experience in Managing Attorney’s Office.
  • Experience using CourtAlert or comparable docketing software.
  • Proficient in electronic filing using CM/ECF, NYSCEF and ACMS.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain court filings in the Firm’s docketing database.
  • Calculate and track deadlines in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
  • Monitor court dockets and activity to identify important case developments.
  • Review documents for compliance prior to filing and handle electronic and in-person court submissions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of courtesy copies of filings to judges and/or court staff.
  • Conduct precedent searches and maintain knowledge of court compliant filing forms and requirements.
  • Provide guidance on court procedures, local rules and individual judges’ rules.
  • Monitor group email inbox and mange incoming assignments
  • Coordinate with courts, vendors and internal teams to obtain case materials.
  • Manage litigant alerts to support business development.
  • Maintain and track bar admissions and renewal deadlines.
  • Receive, review and process incoming litigation-related mail.
  • Assist with various projects and additional duties, as needed.
