About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a full-time Dock Worker for their East Cleveland warehouse. This is a first-shift position.

Requirements

• Ability to judge distance, speed and movement of objects.

Nice To Haves

• Tow motor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist truck driver in transporting and handling materials, merchandise, or equipment.
• Manually load and unload material from trailers and sort in prescribed manner.
• Arrange articles to form a compact load, to secure goods and prevent breakage.
• Check to see all outgoing ADC's, stores, and support departments are properly equipped.
• Exchange propane tanks as needed.
• Keep dock area and warehouse operating safely. Adhere to agency safety/security policies, procedures, and practices. Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Handle all donations carefully and take them to the proper area within the warehouse.
• Place specific trash in regular or metal dumpster or compacter as assigned.
• Ensure that all warehouse inventories are tracked, counted, and inputted into SPOC daily.
• Embody DGR MODE Guiding Principles.
• End every donor interaction with "You changed a life today, thank you!"
• Follow all agency safety policies and guidelines. Actively participate with supervisor and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Other such duties as assigned.
