Dock/Utility Worker - Peru, IL
About The Position
This is a full time, hourly position. The Dock/Utility Worker will be responsible for loading and unloading sand trucks, covering and uncovering barges, and setting up and running facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Basic housekeeping duties, including sweeping and shoveling of sand, are also part of the role. The position requires the ability to work with heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions such as hot and cold temperatures and dusty environments. Requirements
- High school education or equivalent is preferred
- Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, shovel material, sweep and dust
- ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities
- Load and unload sand trucks
- Cover and uncover barges
- Set up and run facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Basic housekeeping: including sweeping and shoveling of sand
- Operate truck dumps
- Operate MCC controls for equipment
- Perform maintenance on conveying equipment
- Keep work area clean
