About The Position

Directs personnel in the scheduling of equipment for the transportation of donated, salvage, and recycled goods from stores, attended donation centers, and special pick-ups to the plant facility for distribution to aftermarket sales. Maintains a safe, secure, and clean workplace. Responsible for being a back-up to the Assistant Transportation Manager and must be capable of dispatching vehicles effectively and in a timely manner. Must also become efficient using transportation and other types of computer programs as needed. Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, implement and maintain forms of record keeping that meet all Goodwill North Central Texas requirements as well as state-required record keeping. Assists, directs, and ensures all dock personnel are trained on the use of all job-related equipment. Must also meet all training objectives set forth by Goodwill Industries or Fort Worth and Transportation Management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience, preferable in a related field.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and donors.
  • Proven computer skills.
  • Ability to work with and guide team members with disabilities and the disadvantaged.
  • Planning and organizing skills required.
  • Must possess and maintain Forklift Certification.
  • Must possess and maintain Class ‘C’ driver’s license.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass a physical examination.
