Dock Lead
About The Position
The Dock Lead is responsible for performing various tasks related to the handling of merchandise, including unloading, loading, wrapping, unwrapping, moving, lifting, and staging. This role also involves assisting the Design team with product placement for visual displays, aiding with customer pick-ups, and ensuring safe material handling and loading practices. The Dock Lead is responsible for generating and completing daily documents such as FSR, CYCL, IST incoming and outgoing, and all price tags on incoming merchandise. They must report any document errors to their supervisor and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Additional duties may include light housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and painting. This position does not supervise others.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Basic numerical reasoning skills.
- Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
- Proficient with basic computer skills.
- GERS or equivalent experience necessary.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing 100+ lbs. repetitively.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs the unloading, loading, wrapping, unwrapping, moving, lifting and staging of merchandise.
- Assists Design team with the receipt and placement of product as needed to replenish visual displays.
- Assists with customer pick-ups.
- Practices safe and secure material handling methods and distributes merchandise properly in accordance with product handling standards.
- Practices safe and secure loading methods to avoid damages.
- Responsible for generating the following documents and completing all related tasks on a daily basis: FSR, CYCL, IST incoming and outgoing, and all price tags on incoming merchandise.
- Reports errors found on documents to supervisor.
- Completes all documentation neatly and accurately.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties including but not limited to light housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and painting as assigned.
