About The Position
The Dock Installer specializes in assembling, placing, and securing floating or fixed dock systems and conducting repairs on these docks at residential or commercial waterfront sites on Chautauqua Lake.
Requirements
- Ability to adhere to all OSHA and Chautauqua-specific safety regulations.
- Willingness to work over or in water, and with equipment to install or repair docks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with assembling, placing, and securing floating or fixed dock systems.
- Experience conducting repairs on docks.
- Experience working at residential or commercial waterfront sites.
- Experience working on Chautauqua Lake.
Responsibilities
- Prepare site areas, which may include site clearing, measuring, and setting alignments.
- Assemble and install floating docks in water based on blueprints and site plan at Chautauqua Lake.
- Safely operate equipment to move floats, pilings, and materials.
- Secure dock sections using bolts, fasteners, brackets, cleats, and bumpers.
- Repair existing docks, including replacing wood, flotation units, and hardware.
- Adhere to all OSHA and Chautauqua-specific safety regulations, ensuring safe practices when working over or in water, and with equipment to install or repair docks.
