About The Position

Overhead Door Solutions (ODS) is a commercial door and dock service company based in Lake Zurich, IL, serving businesses across the Chicagoland area. We install, repair, and maintain overhead doors, loading dock equipment, and entry systems for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers, and commercial facilities that can't afford downtime. When a door goes down, our customers call us, and our team shows up ready to fix it right the first time.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years servicing and installing commercial garage doors
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Good Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to lift 60lbs

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years in a construction related industry
• 1-3 years of welding and/or electrical experience preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Service commercial garage doors, weld and fabricate, and contribute to the general service and repairs for a variety of projects.
• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial access systems, including garage doors, operators, gate operators, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, commercial fencing, and related components.
• Successfully identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
• Track and maintain job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner.
• Install quality products and provide professional services.
• Operate in a safety conscious manner while performing job duties.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service (1-2 weekends a month).
• Collect payment for completed jobs.
