The Dock Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains records. This role involves reviewing production schedules and related information, conferring with customers and plant leadership to determine material requirements, identifying overdue materials, and tracking material. The position requires monitoring and managing inventory levels using the ERP System in conjunction with the 5 Alarm system and visual Min/Max alerts to ensure no interruptions to production activities. The Dock Coordinator will effectively communicate and work with customers regarding material issues, support receiving and production activities to ensure on-time delivery, and analyze and investigate material variances to identify root causes and implement corrective actions with support from the Cycle Counting process. Additionally, the role involves performing inventory counts or other tasks as requested by the customer, identifying and suggesting areas for continuous improvement within the plant, coordinating Hot Shots, monitoring and analyzing OSR, and following and assisting with adherence and management of plant safety protocols.
