About The Position
This role involves servicing, repairing, and installing dock and door equipment. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing planned maintenance, and ensuring customer equipment is in good working order. The position also requires maintaining a service van and its inventory, as well as processing paperwork after each job.
Requirements
- Less than 2 years related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Nice To Haves
- Technical school graduate preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Welding experience.
- Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
- Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment.
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.
- Welding.
- Maintain a service van and its inventory.
- Process paperwork after completion of each job.
