About The Position

Lift, Inc. is hiring a full-time Dock and Door Installer to complete exceptional commercial installations throughout Tremont, PA. This role involves working with a team to install loading dock equipment and commercial doors, offering a dynamic and varied workday. Responsibilities include installing, aligning, and testing components such as dock levelers, shelters, seals, bumpers, vehicle restraints, and various types of commercial doors (overhead, sectional, high-speed). The role also requires documenting daily activities, adhering to safety protocols and installation guidelines, and collaborating with foremen or management to resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related mechanical, welding, electrical, and/or hydraulics experience
  • Construction experience
  • Installation experience
  • Proficiency with electronic communication tools, document submission devices, and related work applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person and over email
  • Ability to think outside the box, solve practical problems, and handle concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to frequently stand, reach, grasp, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and crawl with minimal sitting breaks
  • Ability to wear all PPE
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100+ pounds
  • Ability to work in noisy environments and all kinds of weather conditions
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions

Responsibilities

  • Install loading dock equipment and commercial doors.
  • Install, align, and test the functionality of loading dock components (dock levelers, shelters, seals, bumpers, and vehicle restraints).
  • Install, align, and test the functionality of commercial doors (overhead, sectional, high-speed, etc.).
  • Document daily activities.
  • Follow all safety protocols and installation guidelines.
  • Work with the foreman or management to find solutions to problems.
