About The Position

This position at Archer Daniels Midland Company involves developing data mappings, creating transformation models, and designing workflows to standardize and load data from various ERP systems into a unified Datamart. The role drives business results with data-based insights, utilizing advanced mathematical models, operations research techniques, and simulation to deliver insights, recommendations, and solutions for manufacturing and business challenges. It involves using large data sets to identify opportunities for manufacturing and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The Lead Data Scientist will utilize a variety of data mining and analysis methods, tools, models, algorithms, and simulations to build, implement, and run comprehensive data-driven solutions. Responsibilities also include developing custom data models and algorithms, managing individual analyses, providing clear communications of findings and recommendations, organizing team materials for reviews and quality checks, and presenting findings to leadership. Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of related work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in mapping standardized schema from at least three (3) of the following ERP systems, such as MAPICS, IBM, SAP S4, Oracle, Navision, and/or JD Edwards.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in utilizing cloud-based data tools (e.g., Azure Synapse and Databricks) and creating ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing and end-to-end solutions.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in delivering findings and results in an agile project model team setting.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in performing data mining, data analytics, and predictive modeling with Python and PySpark.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in data warehousing concepts, Datamart design, and best practices for building and maintaining scalable data systems.
  • Three (3) years of experience with/in advanced statistical techniques and concepts, such as regression, properties of distributions, statistical testing, and proper usage, and experience with their applications.
