About The Position

This position involves executing monthly data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes, as well as financial data analysis between the general ledger, data warehouses, and management reporting systems. A key aspect is to eliminate manual data manipulation and reconciliation through automation. The role requires extracting, analyzing, and summarizing large data sets for various ad hoc requests across all management levels and lines of business. The architect will develop, define, and maintain key financial metrics and statistics in firm-wide repositories, applying analytic approaches to answer business questions and translate technical concepts into business outcomes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support data analytics, reporting, and the development of new data solutions, ensuring production results comply with regulatory requirements. The role also includes processing ad-hoc requests, 'what-if' scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect, Production Analytics Analyst, Data Programmer, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect, Production Analytics Analyst, Data Programmer, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience with performing data architecture, data analysis, data mining, data visualization, data management, reporting and modeling.
  • Three (3) years of experience with developing optimized data extraction processes using SQL query language, Statistical Analysis System (SAS), and Alteryx to extract, summarize, and report on large datasets in relational databases including Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Three (3) years of experience with using Excel to analyze and validate financial data from multiple sources with proficiency in pivot tables, the vlookup function, macros, charts, data retrieval and automation techniques.
  • Three (3) years of experience with managing data lineage, data mapping, data dictionaries, and making data discoverable for users across lines of business.
  • One (1) year of experience with implementing changes to Hyperion Essbase cubes to maintain key financial metrics and statistics.
  • One (1) year of experience with generating and maintaining data for data visualization tools including Tableau and ThoughtSpot.
  • One (1) year of experience with processing data and generating reports on an AWS Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes and financial data analysis between the general ledger, data warehouses, and management reporting systems.
  • Eliminate manual data manipulation and reconciliation processes with automation tools.
  • Extract, analyze, and summarize large data sets for ad hoc requests across all levels of management, including cross line of business.
  • Develop, define, and maintain key financial metrics and statistics our team creates in firm-wide repositories.
  • Apply analytic approaches to answer business questions using data and translate technical concepts to business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional teams to support data analytics, data reporting, and the development of new data solutions to meet the needs of stakeholders and the organization.
  • Migrate to production the developed data solutions, and validate that the production results comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Process ad-hoc requests, "what-if" scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries.
