About The Position

Castor Medical Supplies is seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused DME Delivery Technician to deliver, install, maintain, and retrieve medical equipment and supplies for patients in their homes and healthcare facilities. This role also supports warehouse operations, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and oxygen deliveries.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, with assistance or proper equipment when required.
Ability to enter patients’ homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, and assisted-living communities.
Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently while following assigned routes and schedules.
Comfortable working around individuals who may be ill, elderly, or living with disabilities.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in DME, medical delivery, equipment installation, maintenance, warehouse operations, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
Training will be provided on equipment, oxygen safety, documentation, infection control, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

Deliver, set up, and retrieve medical equipment, including hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, patient lifts, support surfaces, and other home medical equipment.
Explain the proper and safe use of equipment to patients, caregivers, and facility staff.
Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs within the technician’s training and authorized scope.
Clean, disinfect, inspect, and prepare returned equipment for reuse.
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and protect equipment from damage.
Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, maintenance, and equipment-tracking documentation.
Assist with warehouse organization, receiving shipments, inventory counts, equipment preparation, and restocking.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and adequately stocked delivery vehicle.
Follow infection-control, equipment-safety, driving, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver and retrieve oxygen concentrators, portable oxygen systems, cylinders, and related supplies.
Assist with oxygen equipment setup and exchanges according to the provider’s order and company procedures.
Follow all oxygen storage, handling, transportation, and safety requirements.
Escalate clinical questions, changes in patient condition, and concerns outside the technician’s role to the appropriate clinical or office staff.
