About The Position

Perform equipment and piping system designs including line sizing and pressure drop calculations. This will also involve the selection of piping components (e.g., valves, regulators, pumps, etc.). Perform relief valve sizing calculations to ensure safety and compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31, API, and Boiler Pressure Vessel code). Perform walk-downs and inspections of process and utility piping systems. Prepare written reports, drawings/sketches, and technical documents (Equivalencies, P&IDs, data sheets, and bills of material). Utilize appropriate regulations, design codes, and standards, including ASME B31.1 and B31.3, ASTM, AWWA as well as other relevant industry standards. Plan and self-perform project tasks including scope development, design timelines, requirements, schedule, research, design review, and field verification.
