About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician I to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. This full-time position operates Monday-Friday from 0600-1430 with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves performing routine testing across various laboratory disciplines, assisting with specimen processing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additional duties may include assisting supervisors with special projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Keyboard skills, good customer service, and a professional demeanor are essential.

Requirements

AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
Ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
Must be a team player.
Keyboard skills are important.
Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required.
Must be willing to work overtime or other times/shifts if required.
Ability to react positively with coworkers.
Ability to use independent judgement to solve problems.
Able to manage time, prioritize, and delegate.

Nice To Haves

Good computer skills a plus.
Knowledge in Epic and Media Lab is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, molecular, and microbiology.
Assist with specimen processing as needed.
Follow employer and hospital policies.
Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Perform duties in the clinical laboratory.
Assist supervisor/manager with special projects/assignments.
Supervise an instrument or department and help monitor inventory for their designated area.
