About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician I to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. This full-time position involves performing routine testing in various laboratory departments, assisting with specimen processing, and contributing to special projects. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The position operates on 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
Ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
Must be a team player.
Keyboard skills are important.
Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required.
Must be willing to work overtime or other times/shifts if required.
Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
Frequent walking and/or standing.
May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

Good computer skills a plus.
Knowledge in Epic and Media Lab is a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs routine testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, molecular, and microbiology.
Assist with specimen processing as needed.
Follow employer and hospital policies.
Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Main responsibility will be duties in the clinical laboratory.
Additional duties will include assisting supervisor/manager with special projects/assignments.
