About The Position

The Divisional Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering onboarding and ongoing training within their assigned division. This role ensures staff are equipped to provide safe, high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with BHA policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards. Unlike the Company Trainer, who supports all divisions, the Divisional Trainer is embedded within a specific division and serves as a hands-on trainer, coach, and mentor. The position supports employee onboarding, 30/60/90-day development, competency assessments, fidelity monitoring, and ongoing staff development. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, ABA, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in behavioral health, special education, residential services, or developmental disability services
  • Knowledge of behavior support strategies, trauma-informed care, and crisis prevention techniques
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and data-tracking skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in staff training, onboarding, coaching, or supervision preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate division-specific onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Coordinate and track required training, certifications, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct competency assessments, observations, and fidelity checks
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance support to staff
  • Identify training gaps and partner with supervisors on development plans
  • Support 30/60/90-day onboarding and employee development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation
  • Ensure training aligns with BHA policies, licensing standards, and best practices
  • Promote person-centered, trauma-informed, and ethical service delivery
  • Collaborate with Operations, HR, Clinical, and Company Training teams to support workforce development and quality improvement efforts
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
  • Support quality improvement and organizational initiatives
  • Complete other duties as assigned
