This position is responsible for the operation and development of existing camps within their division, managing the operation start up for new camps, partnering with field SVPs, construction and development staff on construction projects, donor relations, finance, assuring spiritual care of staff, and otherwise representing the Camping department in the division to which assigned and other divisions that are supervised. This position functions as a team member with the other Camping divisional coordinators, the Camping Services coordinator, the camp staff training and development coordinator and the vice president of Camping and their staff members to direct the operations of the camps. This position partners with the senior field vice presidents of the divisions they supervise to respond to the current camping needs of the field and strategic development and identification of future needs. All camps share a common purpose: creating an environment where Young Life staff bring Christ to life by creatively presenting the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Speaking clearly from the Scriptures, camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ, the nature of humanity, the work of Christ on the cross, the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.
