About The Position

Eliot is seeking a dedicated leader to fulfill the role of Director of Developmental Disabilities and Brain Injury Services. Our adult community-based programs deliver a clinically focused and person-centered service array designed to provide high-quality support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities as well as acquired brain injuries. Eliot provides services to individuals in residential, independent support and day services. Our services prioritize skill development in daily living, social growth, and the cultivation of meaningful community relationships to ensure individuals can lead enriched lives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of providing comprehensive administrative and clinical oversight, managing complex budgets, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with individuals, families, employees, state agencies, other stakeholders, and internal leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a related field with eight years related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with ten years’ experience, with at least six years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience with administrative oversight of services.
  • Knowledge of DDS and MassAbility policies and how to implement policies on a systemic level.
  • Experience with oversight of fiscal budget preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical oversight of all programs and services in the DD/ABI Division
  • Provide direct supervision to Directors and ensure they are providing oversight to all aspects of service delivery under their supervision
  • Ensure all services are clinically focused; person centered and adhere to all internal and external policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and direct process for recertification of QUEST and other licensing processes as required.
  • Recruit, hire and supervise Directors; establish qualifications and job descriptions for staff positions.
  • Review, update and implement program staff schedules to ensure safety and quality of care.
  • Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Monitor individual budgets to include: coordinating systems to review expenditures, identifying and recommending budget amendments and overseeing the maintenance of budget documents.
  • Act as liaison to DDS, MassAbility and other applicable state agencies.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with all parties.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with parents, guardians and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Directors and agency leadership to ensure continuous quality improvement of services.
