About The Position

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM), seeks an innovative and strategic Division Director to lead the Advanced Technology and Analysis Division within the Global Security Directorate (GSD). The GSD plays a vital role in supporting National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense Programs, the Department of Defense/Department of War, Department of Homeland Security, and other DOE and government agencies. The Division Director collaborates closely with the Associate Laboratory Director to guide science and technology programs, set a clear vision, and implement strategic plans. The Division Director works with their leadership team, other Mission-Enablement Directors, and Laboratory’s staff to develop and execute priorities. Together with the other Division Directors, this position participates in institutional research and management initiatives, develops cross-cutting research proposals and initiatives, and fosters collaboration across SRNL and with partner universities and external institutions.

  • Experience in the processing and safeguarding of nuclear materials (such as plutonium, uranium, americium, neptunium, and tritium).
  • Experience in anticipating, detecting, and countering evolving threats to critical assets and the global energy landscape.
  • Experience supporting knowledge development and infrastructure upgrades for nuclear reprocessing science and technology programs.
  • Experience engaging in partnerships with government agencies, energy providers, industry and sibling DOE National Laboratories.
