Superior Energy Services Company is currently seeking a Division Controller for our Wellbore Technologies Division, to join our team in Houston, TX. (On-Site 5 days) The Division Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and alignment with corporate accounting policies. This role serves as a key business partner to division leadership, providing financial insight, guidance, and decision support to drive performance.

  • Ability to balance detail-oriented accounting responsibilities with strategic business support
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the division, including month end close, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, cost accounting, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with division leadership to provide financial analysis, operational insights, and performance metrics
  • Support monthly forecast and annual operating plan, and variance analysis
  • Perform analysis of Manufacturing variances, cost roll up, analysis of standard cost
  • Directs preparation of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Support ERP processes, system integrations, and process improvement initiatives
  • Manage and develop accounting staff within the division
  • Support audits (internal and external) and respond to audit inquiries
  • Supervise an accounting staff
  • Review financial statements with management personnel
  • Performs special projects as needed.
  • Perform all management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
