About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining accurate systems for the internal reporting, external reporting and control of monetary matters, and for contributing ideas for improved reporting and control. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Prepare and complete monthly financial statements in a timely manner as determined by the CFO. Ensure that all accounting activities are performed accurately and in a timely manner. Present financial statements to senior management. Review bank transactions and prepare reconciliations. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly. Prepare, input, and post all journal entries. Review and reconcile accounts receivable trial balance. Review and reconcile accounts payable and GRN trial balances. Review and approve cash disbursement journals. Review and approve cash receipts summary report. Assist sites and credit department in researching and resolving customer discrepancies. Coordinate month end and year end activities with accounting department and sites. Assist in preparation of annual forecasts. File state sales tax reports. Coordinate sales tax audits. Prepare special analyses and reports for senior management. Maintain asset list and depreciation schedules. Assist CFO with activities involving public accountants, bank auditors, government auditors, and regulatory reporting. Contribute to and cooperate with corporate goals. Assist with interviewing and selection of accounting personnel. Promote cleanliness for visual acceptance and safety. Be alert to and report any fraud or illegal activity conducted by any employees or business partners of the corporation. Adhere to and promote all company standards and policies. Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines. Perform special projects as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of threee years applicable accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree with managerial accounting emphasis or equivalent experience
