About The Position

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Chair of the Division of Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant. This role provides clinical and strategic leadership for a high-acuity, multidisciplinary advanced heart failure and transplant service. The Chair will oversee all clinical, strategic, quality, and growth initiatives related to heart transplantation and advanced cardiac replacement therapies. Responsibilities include direct patient care, program leadership, team development, and enterprise collaboration. The role also involves active engagement in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology and cardiology subspecialty fellows. Scholarly and research activities are expected and supported through the Department's extensive academic infrastructure. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and care teams are imperative.

Requirements

  • Board-Certified Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiologist.
  • Must hold or be eligible for an Arizona medical license.
  • At least 5 years of progressive post-fellowship experience in heart transplantation and advanced heart failure.
  • Involvement in programmatic leadership, quality, or growth initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and care teams.

Nice To Haves

  • An academic ranking consisting of Associate Professor or higher is preferred.
