About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Part-Time Administrator for its Weapon Sensors Division, which features four portfolios and over 100 employees. This role provides varied administrative support, directly contributing to the defense of the nation. The ideal candidate will possess strong and broad administrative experience, a desire for professional growth, and will practice servant leadership, embodying ethics, professionalism, and effective communication. The position involves supporting the division manager and four portfolio managers, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with leadership, team members, and customers. It is well-suited for a skilled administrator with 4–8 years of experience in the Defense sector.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret clearance in the future as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Strong and broad administrative experience.
  • Ability and desire to grow as the position evolves over time.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in parallel.
  • Ability to work across the division.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with managing calendars, expense reports & corporate card reconciliation, travel, visitor logistics, employee engagement activities, and large meeting logistics.
  • Desire to expand duties to fill whatever administrative gaps are needed to ensure mission success.
  • Experience assisting project managers (e.g., purchase requisitions, financial tracking, scheduling).
  • Experience in the defense industry as an administrator for director-level or higher.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide varied administrative support across the division.
  • Directly support the division manager, four portfolio managers, and other organizational members as needed.
  • Provide meeting support (large and small).
  • Manage overhead purchases.
  • Plan and execute morale events (large and small) for the division.
  • Manage calendars.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks.
  • Systematically organize duties to help the organization run efficiently.
  • Work through problems and tasks with minimal input/requirements at times.
  • Plan ahead for events and meetings and proactively address needs.
  • Solve problems, directing employees to the correct POCs.
  • Assist executive-level administrators as necessary.
