The Leidos Weapon Sensors Division is seeking a Part-Time Administrator to provide varied support to a division featuring four portfolios and more than 100 employees. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future success of a division that directly supports the defense of our nation. You should bring strong and broad administrative experience, along with an ability and desire to grow as the position evolves over time. While working on the division-level staff, you will practice servant leadership—helping others, implementing the tone of the organization, and leading by example in ethics, professionalism, and communication. This role is well suited for a skilled administrator with 4–8 years of experience working in Defense. Key responsibilities will include providing varied administrative support across the division, directly supporting the division manager as well as four portfolio managers and others in the organization as needed. These responsibilities will include meeting support (large and small), management of overhead purchases, the planning and execution of morale events (large and small), calendar management, and miscellaneous administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in parallel, working across the division, and communicating effectively with leadership, team members, and customers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret clearance in the future as needed. (U.S. Citizenship is required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with managing calendars, expense reports & corporate card reconciliation, travel, visitor logistics, employee engagement activities, and large meeting logistics.
  • Desire to expand duties to fill whatever administrative gaps are needed to ensure mission success.
  • Experience assisting project managers (e.g., purchase requisitions, financial tracking, scheduling).
  • Experience in the defense industry as an administrator for director-level or higher.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Organized and able to manage time well, systematically organizing duties to help the organization run efficiently.
  • Ability to work through problems and tasks with minimal input/requirements at times.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to plan/execute morale events for division.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with various levels of internal stakeholders.
  • Planning ahead for events and meetings and proactively addressing needs.
  • Eagerness to solve problems, directing employees to the correct POCs.
  • Willingness and ability to assist executive-level administrators as necessary.
