JMT's Trenton NJ Underwater Inspection team is seeking a diving inspector/tender to be responsible for completing dives for underwater inspections. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
Requirements
- Experience with underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures.
Responsibilities
- Check diving equipment to ensure it is functioning properly prior to dives
- Use diving equipment to complete underwater dives
- Review and interpret plans and drawings.
- Complete underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures to ensure compliance to plans and codes
- Record all inspection data and assists in the completion of inspection reports
- Field work required, which could be performed during nights and weekends
- Report any medical problems or symptoms experienced during or after the dive
- Report any equipment issues, other potential hazards, near misses or accidents
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety
- Team-oriented individual committed to achieving group goals
- Perform other related engineering duties.
