About The Position

Rigid Tactical is seeking highly experienced Dive Instructor and Dive Equipment Maintainer to support the AFSOC Special Tactics Training Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. This position delivers combat dive instruction and maintains diving equipment in support of SOF amphibious and maritime training operations. The ideal candidate is a qualified Combat Diver and Dive Supervisor from a USSOCOM-accredited school with hands-on experience in both open-water combat dive instruction and diving equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Qualified as a Combat Diver and Dive Supervisor from an accredited U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) school.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (required at time of hire; must be maintained throughout performance)
  • Must be able to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and general internet applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must not be identified as a potential threat to the health, safety, security, or operational mission of the installation.
  • Must pass Go/No-Go qualification screening; resume submission and COR approval required prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide combat dive instruction and dive supervision for SOF personnel in pool, open-water, and field training environments.
  • Maintain, inspect, service, and account for all diving equipment used in training operations.
  • Deliver instructional support in amphibious operations, maritime insertion/extraction, and water-based SOF training events.
  • Demonstrate and instruct open-water swimming and maritime duties in support of amphibious operations training.
  • Fly aboard AFSOC or contracted fixed/rotary-wing aircraft for student infiltration/exfiltration training exercises.
  • Handle munitions, small arms, heavy weapons, crew-served weapons, and night vision devices when instructing students in a field training context.
  • Contribute to curriculum development activities related to dive and maritime training as directed.
  • Maintain all required qualifications and certifications throughout the period of performance.
  • Complete all required training during normal duty hours and track on monthly status report.
