About The Position

The District Support Pharmacist serves as a Staff Pharmacist, supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and overseeing the operation of the pharmacy. The role is accountable for patient safety, professional pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.

The pharmacist helps keep customers and patients healthy by adopting and managing patient care programs. They lead with empathy and compassion, develop and motivate pharmacy support staff, identify business opportunities, implement solutions to improve pharmacy performance, adapt to a dynamic community healthcare setting, collaborate to improve outcomes, and foster a caring and energetic team culture. Requirements

• Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
• Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
• No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
