District Support Pharmacist Full Time
About The Position
CVS Health is seeking a full-time District Support Pharmacist to help deliver accessible, convenient, and compassionate health care. In this Staff Pharmacist role, you will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and help oversee pharmacy operations. The role encompasses patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. You will help keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs. You will lead with empathy, develop and motivate pharmacy support colleagues, identify business opportunities, and implement solutions that improve growth and performance. The role also involves adapting to change in a dynamic community health care setting, collaborating to improve outcomes, and fostering a caring, energetic, and supportive team culture.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support management, oversight, and operation of pharmacy functions, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to build on strengths and address development opportunities and knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
- Adapt plans and respond to change in a dynamic community health care setting.
- Collaborate with others and seek ways to deliver better outcomes.
- Align colleagues around shared purpose and foster a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and proud team culture.
