District Shift Leader
About The Position
Bruegger's Bagels is seeking a District Shift Leader to join their team. This role is part of a targeted General Manager development plan, preparing individuals for future ownership of a bakery as a General Manager. District Shift Leaders perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market as needed, gaining independence and learning from additional leaders. They lead by example, act as brand ambassadors, and provide coaching and training to teams. The role involves jumping into different tasks to ensure high-quality food and beverages and maintain a safe, clean store environment. The GM development plan includes training in administrative duties like inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management, as well as P&L analysis, food cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours and weekends (starting as early as 3am).
- Must be able to pass background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market.
- Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available, specific location is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market as needed.
- Lead by example, act as a brand ambassador, and provide ongoing coaching and training for the teams.
- Jump into different roles every shift to ensure high-quality food and beverages for guests and maintain a safe, clean store environment.
- Participate in a targeted General Manager development plan.
- Complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan, if a valid certification is not already in possession.
